Privacy Policy
This policy explains what data Get Gains collects, why, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it.
Who we are
Get Gains is operated by Nexus AI Apps Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales. We are the data controller for the personal data described below. For any privacy question or request, contact us at support@getgains.co.
Data we collect

| Account | Email address and a password hash, managed for us by AWS Cognito. We never see or store your raw password. |
| Profile | Name, body metrics (height, weight, body composition) and your goals. |
| Fitness data | Workouts, foods logged, weight history, photos you upload (including snap-meal photos), Coach chat history, and Pulse memory (the app's personalisation data). |
| Voice audio | When you use voice features, audio is processed transiently for transcription only. It is not stored long-term. |
| Device | Push notification (FCM) token and app version, used to deliver notifications and diagnose issues. |
How we use your data
- To provide the core tracking features (workouts, nutrition, weight, supplements).
- To power AI features — the Coach, recipe and meal generation, snap-meal recognition, and Pulse personalisation.
- To deliver notifications you've opted into (e.g. the Daily Outlook).
- To operate, secure, and improve the service, and to comply with our legal obligations.
Our legal bases under GDPR / UK GDPR are performance of a contract (providing the app you signed up for), your consent (e.g. optional notifications and wearable sync), and our legitimate interests (keeping the service secure and working).
Third parties & processors
We share data only with the processors needed to run the service:

| Google Play Billing | Payment processing for subscriptions. |
| OpenAI | Coach AI, snap-meal recognition, and text-to-speech. Data is processed under OpenAI's enterprise data-processing terms; your data is not used to train their models. |
| Amazon Bedrock | Recipe generation. As with OpenAI, your data is not used to train models. |
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
International transfers
Your core data is stored in the EU. Where a processor (such as OpenAI) processes data outside the UK/EU, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
Retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your data is removed as described on our account deletion page — a 30-day cancellation window followed by permanent erasure, with residual backup copies removed on the normal backup rotation. Billing and purchase records may be retained where the law requires (tax and accounting).
Your rights
Under GDPR / UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erase your data — in-app via Settings, or via getgains.co/account-deletion.html.
- Portability — receive your data in a portable format.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Complain to a supervisory authority — in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

Cookies
We use minimal, session-only storage strictly to keep you signed in. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies in v1.
Children
Get Gains is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make a material change, we'll notify you (for example, in-app or by email). The "last updated" date above always reflects the current version.
